Washington Post’s digital future

“There are a lot of nostalgia-drenched people in the journalism field who look back at what newspapers were and have a fairly static view of what they should be,” Washington Post executive editor Marcus Brauchli tells the New York Times. “Just because The Washington Post used to be a certain way doesn’t mean The Washington Post has to be that way in the future.”

    I love the way that anyone who embraces more traditional journalism values is just pushed away from the table here. sometimes, reporters are called to witness, which is a crucial part of their job. but not if they aren’t there.
