    The only mystery for me is how he keep on getting gigs. Unlike Larry Brown (who gets restless after 3-4 years at each of his coaching stops), this man literally burns his bridge at every place he worked at. Ideology aside (even if you agree whole heartily with him), this is not the man you want to hired and expect a happy ending.

  2. Olbermann anchored ESPN for five years and worked at MSNBC for eight. Obviously he can be difficult to work with and equally obviously he provides enough value that networks are willing to put up with him for years at a time.

    Which is to say, there’s no mystery: his employers made lots of money from his shows, and the next one will as well if, unlike Current, they can actually provide him with an audience to build upon.
