RIP Mike Wallace
CBS News legend Mike Wallace is dead at 93.
CBS chief executive Les Moonves said in a statement that Mike Wallace’s “extraordinary contribution as a broadcaster is immeasurable and he has been a force within the television industry throughout its existence. His loss will be felt by all of us at CBS.” Wallace died on Saturday night at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan, Conn. The cause of death wasn’t released. CBS News says a special program dedicated to its newsman will be broadcast on “60 Minutes” next Sunday.
