Teen: It’s liberating to inform so many people so rapidly

Eighteen-year-old Morgan Jones was playing a video game when he first heard the news about the Aurora theater shooting. “I get updates from 9News on Facebook, and I get a comment that says ‘we’re investigating shootings at a movie theater,'” he says.

His minute-by-minute account of the story “has inarguably contributed more to the early understanding of this tragedy than any other single person,” writes John Herrman. Jones, who starts college this fall, tells the BuzzFeed writer that “this whole thing has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me, but it’s liberating to be able to inform so many people so rapidly.”
