You won’t believe what happened in the #SAGawards press room just now – unless you’re a reporter.

We’re dying to know, Jon.
It was just this: In the (freezing) press room at the Shrine Auditorium, we’re watching the SAG Awards telecast on monitors, which the folks in charge mute whenever they bring a winner backstage for interviews. As the final award was being announced — literally as they were saying, “And the winner for outstanding cast in a feature film is …” — they muted the volume so that we couldn’t hear. It wasn’t until I recognized John Goodman standing up in the shot of the winners that we knew that “Argo” won. We kept asking urgently for the volume to be turned back on, but it didn’t happen until about halfway through Ben Affleck’s speech.
