NBC Universal digital president Nicholas Lehman has been named chief strategy officer at TEGNA, the former Gannett broadcast and digital properties. Here’s the CEO’s memo:

I am pleased to announce that Nicholas Lehman has been named chief strategy officer for TEGNA. Nick will join the TEGNA Leadership Team and report directly to me.

In this new role, Nick will help guide TEGNA’s overall vision and strategy. He’ll work across our company to identify and develop new business opportunities. He’ll also help cultivate company-wide strategic partnerships and help drive innovation initiatives throughout all areas of TEGNA./CONTINUES

Nick has an extensive background in digital product development and execution. Previously, Nick was president of digital for NBCUniversal. He has also served as CEO of Plum TV, COO of programming for IAC and held several executive roles at MTV Networks.
